The website redesign for Baton Rouge, LA, aims to capture the city’s unique character and vibrant personality. Key highlights include Baton Rouge’s iconic attractions such as its Mardi Gras celebrations, baby alligators at events, and the tallest capitol building in the U.S. The overall goal of the redesign is to create a site that is dynamic, welcoming, and memorable, reflecting Baton Rouge’s blend of history, charm, and modern culture.

The Solution
After spending a few days immersing myself in the best Baton Rouge has to offer, I felt inspired to redesign the site. To capture the unique spirit and rich history of the city, I incorporated textured elements and vintage shapes. The bold red color was used thoughtfully to highlight key calls to action. During my time in Baton Rouge, I noticed various illustrations of pelicans, alligators, egrets, and blue herons throughout the city in different artistic styles, which led me to add some playful illustrations to the site, giving it an extra layer of personality.
